What is vibratory finishing and what benefits does it bring?

Vibratory finishing is one of the most efficient mass-finishing processes: it removes burrs, rounds edges and uniforms surfaces, all at a low cost per part.

What is vibratory finishing?

Vibratory finishing is a mechanical-chemical surface treatment in which an abrasive media moves relative to the workpiece under a vibratory motion. Parts and abrasive media rub against each other, finishing the surface uniformly.

What benefits does it bring?

  • complete deburring;
  • all edges are processed equally and rounded;
  • uniform surface appearance;
  • processing of spatial surfaces without intersection curves;
  • mass processing at a low cost per part.

Which materials can be processed?

A wide range: steel and iron, stainless steel, copper and brass, aluminium, zinc, magnesium, wood and more.

Equipment and consumables

VIBROBLAST offers both vibratory finishing machines (rotary, linear or continuous) and consumables — ceramic, plastic and porcelain media, plus compounds and finishing gels adapted to the material and desired result.

Conclusion

Vibratory finishing is ideal for deburring, edge rounding and uniform finishing of large series. VIBROBLAST provides the full range of vibratory finishing equipment and consumables.

Not sure which equipment fits your parts? A Vibroblast specialist visits your factory, analyses your parts and current process, and recommends the right solution — even if that means a cheaper machine than you expected.
